This week another fourteen demo cd's made their way to the silenced crew succesfully.

Hugh Like "Office Fields" test pressings just in !

Morse Recordings (label, launched by the legendary USA-Import record store in Antwerp) n° 6 will be Hugh Like's first vinyl release, called "Office Fields". The test pressings came in just yesterday. The sleeve is also designed by Hugh Like. You'll probably hear it tonight at Café d'Anvers and it will be on the shelves by next month or so. I'll let you know.

Hugh Like, DS and Now & Early in Café d'Anvers tonight

Yes, that's right. Tonight, 14th March, Café d'Anvers is receiving Onur Özer and Alex Smoke (live) in the main MIMAZU room.

On the first floor, all night long, will be playing DS, Now & Early (who'll play an entirely new set, combining banging techno oldies with new mixing technologies, edits and loops) and Hugh Like (maybe his first ever Live set, depending on the mood or a dj set).

Thats right! This week another 20 participants entered the contest! You want some names? here you go: arrestar, dimster vs steff, fedy, forex, ken, krimson d, kris dust, krizz, lady ace, mr. saiben, n-flow, phsp, pidrov, soundlimit, stroef, sur'd, sven appeltants, the innovator, thomas and xperience.
We've seen Arrestar and Forex around before and it's also the fourth time N-flow entered the competition!

I've put some old footage from the performance by N-flow vs Mufson online. It was recorded on a photocamera back in 2004 during the first edition of silence at silo. Lower your volume because the sound is very distorted.

No sponsoring

We were asking the organisation jint (provider of european financial support) to sponsor our project at silo. Sadly they turned us down this time. Of course we are dissapointed about this, because we spend weeks writing the application. Anyway, we don't want some big company name on our poster, so we'll have to do it without sponsoring...as usual.
But hey, I'm sure we'll be a lot more creative and original, as our personal savings will be at stake :-)

we love the mailman

It seems like the mailman never dissapoints us. Every day we get a few new cd's, so we're really getting excited and confident about the contest!

Another 13 participants have been added to the list. Two of them are live acts: Bitkit and Don't wake me up. Dj Don Camilo plans to be our colombian connection. Somebody please explain us why this guy from Zottegem gives us a colombian phone number? :-)
Wim Deman from De Panne send us a cd without any info. No phone-number, email adres or anything else. Now that's underground!
