Free Music round 8

Astor Remix [shhht_08]

Our eighth output features remixes made for the Stockholm-based Astor Bell netlabel. Three completely different sounding tracks but they all reach common ground in the land of warm melodies. Varying from slow paced, grinding minimalism from Dan Droff, a time-liquifying approach from Examine to the more dancefloor oriented Damohl33 remix. Mnml techno contest?

This morning we received a friendly mail from Stockholm. I didnt know the guys from netlabel astorbell.com, but they've got a well designed site and some good music. So be sure to take a look!

They also asked us a contest-related-question of which the answer might interest all of you:

The sampler on our website is not a reference for the style we are looking for, because it's not a real release, but more of a review of some of the artists we've worked with the past 5 years. During those years our contest was mainly orientated to dj's and in a lesser amount to producers. We also covered lots of musicstyles, with only one thing in common...they needed to be electronic. Now we are changing our approuch by concentrating on our favourite style (being mnml techno) and recruiting CC producers only. Our first official releases will be launched this year, starting in august.
